Job description

Our client, a niche credit fund specializing in property secured lending, is looking to hire a bright, young individual to join their team as the Financial Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and support the finance team
  2. Review month-end files and management packs each month
  3. Present and discuss management packs with senior management monthly
  4. Submit monthly management packs and quarterly updates to shareholders/investors
  5. Review VAT and income tax submissions
  6. Liaise with auditors to schedule and complete audits within deadlines, handling queries and disclosures
  7. Review individual and consolidated financial statements
  8. Manage creditors control function
  9. Review and approve all payment requisitions
  10. Ensure legal documentation aligns with finance requirements for each deal
  11. Liaise with investors regarding requested financial information
  12. Manage tax efficiency across group companies
  13. Prepare quarterly cashflow and profit forecasts, comparing with budgets
  14. Present forecasts to senior management quarterly
  15. Deregister older funds, companies, and trusts in the group
  16. Oversee treasury management and risk management
  17. Manage the property portfolio
Requirements:
  1. CIMA qualification or substantial experience with a bachelor’s degree
  2. At least 3 years of post-articles finance experience
  3. Experience in compliance is beneficial
  4. Proficiency in Excel; advanced skills are a plus
  5. Financial modelling experience is advantageous
  6. High integrity and strong social skills
  7. Organized, calm, and capable of multitasking
  8. Effective communicator with stakeholders
  9. Risk identification and problem-solving skills
  10. Ability to work independently and in a team
