Team Overview:
The Finance Team is a close-knit and collaborative unit, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. The team consists of a Finance Consultant and a Finance Assistant, who work together to manage key financial processes, including banking, cash flow, compliance, payroll, and reporting.
Role Mission:
The mission of RoomRaccoon's Finance Manager is to help RoomRaccoon become the most adopted hotel management system in the world by providing financial support to the organisation. The team is looking for a new member who is experienced, a strong problem solver, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Banking & Cash Flow Management: Oversee local and foreign bank accounts, perform monthly reconciliations, and manage daily transfers as needed.
- Creditors Management: Supervise local and international payables, ensuring accurate reconciliations and timely payments.
- Accounts Receivable: Ensure prompt invoicing and collections to maintain steady cash flow and timely customer payments.
- Month-End Closing & Reconciliations: Manage month-end processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Annual Financial Statements: Prepare financial results for external audits and compliance.
- VAT Compliance: Handle local and international VAT returns, ensuring accurate and timely monthly submissions.
- Payroll Processing: Take full responsibility for salary processing and payroll administration.
- Operational Support: Respond to finance-related inquiries from internal teams and provide necessary guidance.
- Special Projects: Support various financial initiatives and strategic projects as required.
- Tax Compliance: Apply tax expertise to financial operations, ensuring regulatory adherence.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field or a relevant accreditation (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CA, CPA).
- Financial Reporting & Analysis – Ability to interpret financial data, generate reports, and provide strategic insights.
- Accounting & Compliance – Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Experience in financial planning, cost control, and cash flow management.
- Tax & VAT Compliance – Understanding of local and international tax laws and VAT returns.
- Banking & Treasury Management – Managing cash flow, bank accounts, and financial transactions.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable – Oversight of creditors, debtors, and collections processes.
- Payroll Management – Ensuring accurate salary processing and compliance with tax regulations.
- IT & Financial Systems – Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP).
