This pivotal role offers exposure across the entire business, with a focus on driving operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement of processes and systems.

This individual will provide strong financial and operational leadership, ensuring robust financial controls and accurate reporting to support strategic decision-making.

This is a critical role in aligning financial and business strategies to achieve long-term organizational goals and financial sustainability, with a healthy growth plan in line.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage team and facilitate cross-business collaboration
  2. Manage forecasting and financial reporting
  3. Manage general ledger, ensure transactions are recorded and reconciled correctly
  4. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements
  5. Oversee monthly accounting reporting process, ensure compliance with accounting standards
  6. Manage shared services team to standardize and automate processes
  7. Implement best practices for accounts payable, receivable, P2P, and Fixed Assets
  8. Manage Fixed Asset Register
  9. Implement treasury policies to improve cash management
  10. Maintain banking relationships and negotiate suitable terms
  11. Review investment strategies and risk management
  12. Prepare annual statutory financial statements in compliance with standards and regulations
  13. Coordinate external audit processes, ensure compliance, and resolve audit queries
  14. Implement corrective actions based on audit findings and recommendations
  15. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and corporate governance standards
  16. Manage tax planning and optimization strategies
  17. Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
Requirements:
  • Qualification: CA(SA) with 4-7 years post-articles experience
  • Must have 3 years leadership experience and experience in promoting cross-functional collaboration
  • Previous experience in managing general ledger, accounting processes, statutory financial statements, and fixed asset register
  • Must have advanced financial skills and business acumen
  • Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, treasury management, and corporate governance
  • Able to handle processes, systems, routines, and unpredictable situations and challenges
