We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our energetic marketing team. In this role, you'll contribute to a diverse range of projects, from developing compelling branding and marketing materials to designing engaging digital and print collateral that resonates with both internal teams and partner audiences. Requirements
  1. Educational: Grade 12 or equivalent. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
  2. Experience: 4+ years proven experience working as a graphic designer in a creative agency or in-house design team. Portfolio showcasing diverse design projects, demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Premier Pro, etc.). Familiarity with print and digital production processes and specifications.
  3. Skills: Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
  4. Personal Attributes: You think outside the box and generate innovative design concepts that resonate with target audiences. You possess strong writing and editing skills, including basic copywriting, text editing, proofreading, understanding typographic principles, adhering to brand communication guidelines, adapting content to various styles or tones, and collaborating with content writers. You maintain a meticulous approach to design, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. You work effectively in a team environment, soliciting feedback and incorporating input from various stakeholders. You adapt to evolving industry trends and technologies, demonstrate general business acumen, possess strong communication skills and professional conduct, and foster good internal relationships.
Responsibilities
  1. Content Creation and Design: Create and Edit Assets: Design high-quality, visually compelling materials for digital platforms (websites, email campaigns), print, packaging, and presentations. Ensure product visuals, specifications, pricing, and other elements are accurate, appealing, and aligned with brand identity.
  2. Content Optimisation: Optimise content for mobile responsiveness, site speed, and user engagement. Conduct A/B testing and refine processes for maximum efficiency.
  3. Collaboration and Execution: Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, internal communications, product, and management teams to develop content aligned with brand guidelines and company objectives. Content Deployment: Execute email marketing campaigns, including campaign setup, deployment, and the creation of engaging subject lines and multimedia content.
  4. Content Management and Performance Monitoring: Content Maintenance: Publish, schedule, and maintain accurate, up-to-date content across digital and email platforms. Performance Analytics: Monitor published content performance using analytics tools. Leverage data insights to make informed content decisions and drive improvements.
  5. Project and File Management: Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards. Design File Organisation: Maintain and organise design files and assets for streamlined access and future use.
  6. Innovation and Industry Trends: Trend Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance content quality and innovation.
  7. Administrative and Ad Hoc Tasks: Back-Office Support: Respond promptly to emails and collaborate effectively on communication platforms. List Management: Assist with contact and email list management tasks. Professional Development: Focus on continuous learning to enhance functional knowledge and expertise.
