Our client, an innovative company based in Cape Town , is looking for a Financial Director to oversee and guide all aspects of financial operations and strategy. This is a key leadership role offering a high degree of influence across the business and the broader group.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead financial reporting, including month-end processes, internal reporting packs, and variance analysis.
  • Oversee budget planning, quarterly consolidations, board reporting, and compliance with IFRS standards.
  • Manage tax submissions, audits, insurance, and statutory requirements.
  • Drive working capital management and oversee cash flow, payments, and asset controls.
  • Ensure the accuracy of reconciliations across AP, AR, payroll, and balance sheets.
  • Implement and refine internal controls and standard operating procedures to reduce financial risk.
  • Liaise with financial institutions, manage relationships, and ensure covenant compliance.
  • Contribute to overall business strategy through forecasting, financial modelling, and cost evaluations.
  • Lead and develop the finance team to ensure optimal performance across the business.
Minimum Requirements:
  • CA (SA) qualification is essential.
  • Postgraduate degree in Finance or related field.
  • 5–10 years' post-articles experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Proficiency in Sage Evolution , Power BI , and MS Excel.
  • Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and strong project management capabilities.
  • Experience in inventory costing and control is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
