Job summary

Communicate Finance in Soweto is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage the full dealership finance function and deliver timely management accounts. You will oversee floorplan facilities, stock control, and VAT compliance while coordinating with creditors, debtors, and manufacturing reporting teams.

The role requires 2–3 years in automotive dealership finance, SAICA/SAIPA articles, and strong knowledge of floorplan financing and stock control.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience within automotive dealership industry.
• Experience in franchised motor dealership finance environment.
• Articles completed with SAICA/SAIPA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full dealership finance function.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and trial balance.
• Perform monthly close procedures and reconciliations.
• Manage creditors, debtors, and collections processes.
• Oversee stock control for vehicle, parts, and inventory.
• Manage floorplan facilities, reconciliations, and settlements.
• Reconcile F&I income, commissions, and related transactions.
• Prepare VAT schedules and ensure compliance.
• Process payroll journals and related reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit manufacturer financial reports.
• Maintain effective financial controls and governance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Provide financial reporting and support to management.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Provide financial reporting and support to management

Skills & Experience:

• 2-3 years' experience within the automotive or dealership industry
• Previous experience in a franchised motor dealership finance environment
• Strong understanding of floorplan financing and stock control management
• Practical VAT knowledge relating to vehicle sales, trade-ins, parts, and aftersales operations
• Experience preparing accounts up to trial balance
• Completed SAICA, SAIPA, or equivalent articles
• Manufacturing finance experience
• Experience within a multi-dealership or group environment

Qualification:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
