Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Financial Controller to join its finance leadership team in Johannesburg. The role provides independent financial oversight, analysis and challenge across the Group, ensuring accurate reporting and robust controls.

You will apply IFRS expertise, lead group consolidation and budgeting processes, and translate complex numbers into actionable insights for senior management decisions.

Qualifications

• Qualified accounting professional with IFRS expertise.
• Experience in group consolidation and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to challenge assumptions.
• Excellent communication with senior management and governance bodies.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent review and challenge of financial reporting and accounting information.
• Coordinate monthly management, Executive and Board reporting.
• Review balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and significant adjustments.
• Identify financial reporting risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate and review the Group consolidation process and intercompany eliminations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
