SUMMARY :

Calling all Finance Assistants in the Manufacturing Industry!

POSITION INFO :

Finance Assistant – Manufacturing Sector

Are you an enthusiastic and dynamic Finance Assistant looking to grow your career in a reputable, well-established manufacturing company? Our client, a leading player in the engineering and industrial manufacturing sector, is seeking a driven individual to join their Finance Department.

This position is reporting to the Management Accountant.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare routine calculations, reports, and analysis

Handle invoicing across creditors, debtors, and sales

Reconcile discrepancies and general ledger accounts

Maintain cashbooks and assist with procurement functions (GRNs, POs)

Load and manage payments via ERP system and banking platforms

Assist with VAT and EMP submissions and SARS communication

Support month-end journals, reporting, and year-end procedures

Manage asset depreciation, additions, and disposals

Handle foreign transactions, imports, exports, and customs processes

Assist with forecasting, cost-saving initiatives, and financial analysis

Collaborate with colleagues and assist on daily financial tasks and ad hoc projects

Minimum Requirements :

Educational Qualification :

Grade 12

N4 Financial Management Certificate OR Diploma in Financial / Cost Accounting, a degree would be highly beneficial

Must be busy with Saica articles or has completed Saica articles

Experience :

4–5 years’ experience in a finance-related role (preferably in manufacturing)

Languages :

Fluent in English and Afrikaans

Technical Competencies :

Proficient in Microsoft Office

ERP experience essential (SAP exposure highly advantageous)

Strong understanding of financial principles and reconciliations

  • Must be Criminal and Credit Clear
  • Must reside in the Greater Cape Town area
