Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join a dynamic Finance Department and contribute to the seamless financial operations of the organization for a fixed term 6 months contract.

The successful candidate will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions.

Responsibilities :

Sage Capturing Assistance : Collaborate with the Creditors Clerk to ensure accurate and timely data entry into the Sage system.

Asset Register Management : Assist in maintaining and updating the Asset Register to ensure comprehensive and precise records.

Job Card Registers : Daily oversight of job card registers to facilitate smooth workflow tracking.

Data Capturing Expertise : Utilize advanced Excel skills to capture and organize financial data efficiently.

Filing Management : Implement and maintain an effective filing system for financial documents to ensure easy retrieval and compliance.

Job Card and Tick Sheet Issuance : Responsible for the issuance and management of job cards and tick sheets.

ICT Register Maintenance : Keep the ICT register up to date, ensuring accuracy in recording and tracking information.

Debtors & Creditors Masterfile Maintenance : Contribute to the maintenance and accuracy of the Debtors and Creditors Masterfile.

Company Contract Phones Management : Efficiently handle and manage company contract phones.

Scanning & Archiving : Responsible for the scanning and archiving of relevant financial documents.

Switchboard Relief : Provide relief and support for switchboard operations as needed.

Requirements :

Education : Minimum of Grade 12 qualification.

Technical Proficiency : Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Communication Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within the team.

Sage Evolution Advantageous : Familiarity with Sage Evolution will be considered an advantage.
