Finance Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant with a background in finance or accounting, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with financial data, reviewing bank statements, interpreting attorney notes related to client assets, and building accurate, well-structured spreadsheets to support financial analysis and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain spreadsheets containing client financial information.
  • Review and interpret bank statements to extract relevant financial data.
  • Analyze and summarize attorney notes related to client assets and estates.
  • Organize and input financial details accurately into internal systems.
  • Assist with compiling and preparing reports for claims, underwriting, or asset evaluations.
  • Support the finance and insurance team with general administrative and data-related tasks.
  • Ensure all financial documentation is handled confidentially and securely.
  • Cross-check data for accuracy, inconsistencies, or missing information.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and claims departments where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience in finance, accounting, and insurance (at least 3 years).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, formatting).
  • Ability to interpret and extract data from bank statements and legal/financial documents.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
