Job description

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Finance Administrator to manage our company's financial accounting, reporting systems, and administrative operations.

The Finance Administrator's role will include tasks such as undertaking administrative functions to ensure services are provided effectively and efficiently, preparing financial reports, and reconciling bank statements.

The Administrator will work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial management:

  • Our ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of financial principles and technologies, with an analytical mind for managing large amounts of numerical data.
  • Proficiency in major software programs such as Microsoft Office, and an understanding of business and financial management principles are key.

Responsibilities :

  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
  • Prepare balance sheets and process invoices
  • Email invoices to clients and follow up on payments
  • Track organizational expenses and income, and forecast trends
  • Monitor budget and report variances
  • Prepare tax documents and returns
  • Manage payroll activities and ensure subcontractors are paid in a timely manner
  • Compile audit-required documents in consultation with the Accountant.

Qualifications :

  • South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must not have participated in the program before.
  • Matric
  • Extensive experience in reviewing financial data and preparing reports
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and charts, and using financial Excel functions)
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures
  • Time-management and organization skills
  • Confidentiality, with a sharp eye for detail
  • Qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Some travel may be required for team meetings or client consultations.
