Job description

An experienced Motor industry FINANCE ADMIN CLERK is required for permanent employment based in Newcastle.

POSITION INFO :

TRG Salary : Market related TCTC R.00 kpm (+ Industry benefits) avail / neg
Start Date : Immediate / Negotiable

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Maintain an effective process of document control in a filing system
  2. Alert Management on any unusual and problematic situation
  3. Assist the finance team over Month Ends to ensure that the dealership deadlines are met
  4. Clearing of all Internal Accounts on Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
  5. Assist the Debtors Clerk in phoning customers in respect of due / overdue accounts
  6. Printing of Debtors invoices and forwarding to relevant customers
  7. All daily and monthly Standard Bank EFT payments for MB and MC and the posting of the payments onto Kerridge
  8. Ensure that Quality Assurance is part of the workflow.
  9. All work received must be checked
  10. Relief Duty in Absence of the Cashier as well as Admin Manager / Accountant
  11. Prepares money to be banked on a daily basis - CASHIER
  12. Accurate cash posting and allocation of all receipts (cash, cheques, credit cards) - CASHIER
  13. Receives money from customers (workshop, sales and spares) - CASHIER
  14. Ensure security of all cash and cheques received - CASHIER
  15. Input of Salary Deductions - CASHIER
  16. Posting of transactions on the Bank Statement on Kerridge – ADMIN MANAGER / ACCOUNTANT
  17. Assist with ad-hoc and duties as requested by Management

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :

  1. Position related Tertiary Qualification (Degree / Diploma or similar) adv.
  2. Grade 12 (Matric)
  3. Min 3-5 years Motor dealership / Automotive industry exp.
  4. Kerridge
  5. Position based in Newcastle, local residency required.
