Job summary

Conova (PTY) LTD in the Western Cape seeks an experienced bookkeeping and finance professional to manage day-to-day financial operations, post journals, and prepare monthly management accounts. You will own the full finance function, liaise with our Cayman-based team on reporting, and ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years post-qualification, proficiency with QuickBooks, and a proactive, independent work style.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in accounting preferred.
• 2–3+ years post-qualification experience in a finance role.
• Experience preparing management accounts and owning the full finance function.
• Proficient with QuickBooks and other accounting systems.
• Independent self-starter with minimal training required.
• Mature and reliable with accountability and ownership.
• Able to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and international teams.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day financial operations and bookkeeping.
• Preparing and posting journals with QuickBooks experience.
• Monthly management accounts, including income statement and balance sheet reviews.
• Budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.
• Liaising with Cayman-based team on reporting and commentary.
• Overseeing payments, reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, KYC and regulatory requirements.
• Communicating with clients and external service providers.
