Bookkeeper position in Helderberg, Western Cape. Ideal start date 1 November 2026. Requires bookkeeping up to Trial Balance for multiple client accounts, invoicing, reconciliations, and Pastel expertise. This role supports audits and monthly management reporting.

Candidates should have a financial degree/diploma or proven experience, with strong numerical skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts in Pastel.

• Bookkeeping to Trial Balance for multiple client accounts.
• Bank reconciliations and accurate record-keeping.

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and statements.
• Pastel software familiarity is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Bookkeeping from source documents to Trial Balance for multiple client accounts.
• Process supplier and customer invoices and payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain ledgers.
• Assist with year-ends and rollovers in Pastel.
• Prepare Pastel folders and supporting documentation for audits.
• Respond to audit queries and post-audit journals.
• Prepare monthly customer statements and management accounts.
• Handle customer/account queries via telephone and email.
• Prepare monthly budgets and variance reports.

BOOKKEEPER - Helderberg, Western Cape

Looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join finance department

Ideal Start Date - 1 November 2026

Minimum requirements

• Bookkeeping to Trial Balance for multiple client accounts


• Processing supplier and customer invoices and payments


• Bank reconciliations


• Financial year-ends and rollovers in Pastel


• Preparing Pastel folders and supporting documentation for audit purposes


• Assisting with and responding to audit queries


• Processing audit journals after completion of audits


• Preparing monthly customer statements


• Handling customer and account queries via telephone and email


• Preparing monthly management account reports


• Processing and reconciling petty cash transactions


• Maintaining organised and accurate records


• General administration, including filing


• Providing financial information to stakeholders as required


• Compiling annual budgets and variance reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Financial Degree or Diploma or proven experience


• Good to excellent knowledge of Pastel Partner as training will not be provided


• Bookkeeping up to Trial Balance


• High standard of numerical and reconciliation skills


• Experience working with multiple client accounts in Pastel would be highly advantageous
