Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Filing Clerk to join our team. Responsibilities include:

  • Sorting employees’ files
  • Building file record templates for archiving with Metrofile
  • Coordinating with Metrofile for file collection and return
  • Organizing and maintaining physical and digital documents
  • Making copies and distributing paperwork as needed
  • Retrieving data and files for departments
  • Using alphabetical and numerical systems for organization
  • Verifying and updating paperwork and digital forms
  • Creating new files and maintaining records and reports
  • Requesting and managing storage boxes from Metrofile
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of documents
  • Scanning and verifying digital copies
  • Processing file requests and tracking document borrowing
  • Monitoring office supplies and coordinating with vendors
  • Disposing of documents per procedures
  • Transcribing audio/video content as needed
  • Operating office equipment
  • Improving filing systems and designing forms
  • Performing data entry and record keeping
  • Collaborating with warehouse or storage vendors for archiving
  • Checking and correcting file placement and documentation
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic office software
  • Experience in an office environment
  • Clerical experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience with file-keeping software or cloud storage is a plus
