ROLE PURPOSE
Maintaining site maintenance on ASSIGNED sites according to the required scope of work specified by the customer. The role involves driving planned preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on non-network infrastructure such as air-conditioning, electrical plant, and general infrastructure to support the business maintenance strategy and client service standards. Providing technical support to Regional Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Junior Portfolio Managers.
MAIN OUTPUTS
- Maintain the ASSIGNED sites according to scope of work and instructions/standards provided.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Ensure tools, vehicles, test equipment, laptops, and cellphones are well-maintained, checked for condition, and recorded in a register.
- Comply with health and safety requirements of Bidvest FM and the client’s site-specific standards.
- Follow access procedures and update work status in accordance with procedures.
- Restore sites within SLA to standard.
- Adhere to quality requirements as stipulated by the scope of work.
- Manage assistants daily to ensure team performance; report deviations to management.
- Identify site enhancements and obtain authorization to proceed.
- Complete tasks onsite within allocated timeframes.
- Follow management instructions.
- Keep your email and company phone operational at all times.
- Answer phone calls promptly during duty hours and return calls when off duty.
- Report unsafe work situations to management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
The applicant must meet the following requirements:
- National N4-Electrical Engineering Trade Theory.
- Electrician (26D) or Section 28 Electrician/Wireman’s License.
- Refrigeration Trade Test (not mandatory but advantageous).
- Matric/Grade 12.
- Valid Code 10 EB Driver’s License; 4x4 and advanced driving experience are advantageous.
- 3-5 years experience in Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Corrective Maintenance (CPM).
- Experience in GSM and core network telecommunications environment.
