Job description

We are looking for a Field Technician based in Cape Town.

Purpose of Position:

• Report to clients in writing and maintain records of repairs and returns.
• Prepare, submit, and record warranty claims.
• Provide telephonic and on-site support for customers.
• Offer internal sales technical support.
• Maintain ISO compliance.
• Commission equipment.
• Evaluate problems related to specific applications where equipment is used.
• Attend to breakdowns.
• Travel as required, including after hours and cross-border support.
• Assist with spare stock control and warehousing.
• Assist with customer quotes when needed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the Manager.

Skills and Abilities:

• Qualified Electrician or Technician with N3 or a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Control Systems.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of Control Systems Electronics and/or Pneumatics.

Experience:

• Excellent people skills and written communication skills.
