Job Title: Field Service Technician – Automation, Centurion, Gauteng

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician - Automation to provide professional technical support to our customers. This role involves executing technical services at customer sites, providing feedback on customer satisfaction, and supporting production improvements in the Market Area. The position is based mainly in Centurion and reports to the Field Service Technician Supervisor.

Team and Responsibilities

You will join a team dedicated to delivering seamless technical solutions that meet customer needs, supporting sales and building strong relationships. Your responsibilities include:

1. Delivering technical services at customer sites
2. Performing troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance instructions
3. Conducting service contract site visits, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance
4. Supporting local installation and start-up of pre-assembled products
5. Providing technical discipline support and identifying sales leads
6. Training customers on operation and maintenance
7. Reporting site activities, expenses, and ensuring safety compliance

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in mining, metals, or metallurgical processing
• Knowledge of Metso Analyser and Filter technologies (advantage)
• Proven troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to travel up to 75%
