JBT has an opportunity for a Service Technician to join our team based in Hoedspruit, Limpopo (South Africa)

Reporting to our Service Manager, as Service Technician you will be responsible for service and maintenance of leased equipment at our customers' site in Hoedspruit .


The Opportunity ...

We are seeking a Qualified, skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team based in Hoedspruit, Limpopo (South Africa).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of citrus processing equipment at our customer's site. This role requires a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

You will work closely with your Service Manager and the Sa les D epartment to ensure g ood communication from the customer site to JBT Head office.

Previous experience as a Service Technician would be valuable and someone with foundational skills and a keenness to learn our equipment is necessary ! Finally, you may use your expertise to help install new JBT equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on citrus processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities and parts inventory.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Qualified Trade Test: Millwright or Fitter
