Field Service Technician

We are seeking a qualified Field Service Technician with the following requirements:

• Must be fluent in Afrikaans
• Must have driver’s license
• Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer
• Experienced in end-user repairs and/or technical selling of vacuum pumps, water pumps, compressors, valves, measuring instrumentation, leak detectors, or other industrial equipment selling to industrial markets: Food Processing, Automotive, Chemical & Pharma, Plastics, Medical, Water & Waste Water

Responsibilities:

• Proficiently communicate with customers, verbally and via email daily.
• Liaise with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Call on existing and new customers, maintaining relationships and growing the business with these customers.
• Identify new prospects and cold call on potential customers.
• Set and chase ambitious sales targets and generate new pump sales.
• Grow field service, which includes procuring active service contracts.
• Track previous services completed and encourage customers to service again with us.
• Generate service repair sales for the workshops.
• Generate new pump sales: spares, pumps, and systems.
• On-site problem solving.
• Install and repair vacuum pumps and systems on site.
• May be required to travel in Africa; must have a passport.
• Develop and implement strategies with the sales team.
• Complete the required reports on time (weekly and monthly).
• Develop relationships with key role players – i.e., Technicians, Engineers, Maintenance Managers, Consultants, Contractors, Distributors, and End users.
• Provide accurate and constant feedback to management.
