About the Role

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Field Service Scheduler for Africa, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the deployment of Field Service personnel across the region, utilizing both within and outside of your subregion. Act as primary liaison for internal and external partners, ensuring effective communication between various departments.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and coordinate the resource planning for Service for planned and unplanned outages in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Build strong partnerships and communication with the respective Centers of Competences within the Field Service global organization and with in-country Planners both in region Africa and Europe.
  • Foster strong collaboration with the GS C and GS D GSO organizations especially with Project Management, Sales, and the O&M teams within your sub-region as well as with the central support teams in SO FST.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all planned and completed outages across the countries in your region.
  • Identify resource requirements, shortages, and surpluses, and collaborate with in-country teams and other regions to develop efficient staffing planning solutions.
  • Work with Field Service Managers to ensure Field Service Engineers’ training needs, skills and skill level are up to date.
  • Develop and oversee implementation and administration of department policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Utilize digital tools such as Primavera, Polaris (SAP FSM or Salesforce FS Lightning), OnePM, TCTP and MySPGI to support and enhance resource planning as part of our digitalization efforts.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of personnel (preferably hands on) experience in scheduling.
  • Bachelor’s degree college / university in mechanical, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Highly organized with excellent Project Planning skills.
  • Outstanding Great Teammate with strong leadership capabilities and communication skills.
  • Experience with and comfortable working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization.
  • Be able to apply these skills at all company levels within our organization.
  • Good understanding of our company organization, including head offices and regions.
  • Fluent in English.
