Summary :

The company seeks ambitious and energetic individuals for Field Service roles within South Africa to lead the solar revolution.

This role requires creativity, innovation, and proactive involvement as Candi introduces new tools in solar technology. Responsibilities include:

  1. Plant maintenance of assigned systems.
  2. Primary response to on-site plant issues and managing CMMS responses.
  3. Coordination with contractors, OEM support, and internal staff for site works.
  4. Providing on-site inputs for system monitoring and performance evaluations.
  5. Internal reporting and documentation (site inspections, maintenance reports).
  6. Ensuring site compliance with HSE standards with support from Candi's HSE team.
  7. Assisting project managers with contractor supervision during new plant construction.
  8. Supporting project managers with milestone verification and plant commissioning.
  9. Verifying and receiving project documentation for project acceptance.
  10. Managing local tools, spares, infrastructure, and logistics related to assets.
  11. Conducting site inspections for new project evaluations.
  12. Providing general support to the Technical Asset Management team.

Location: Three positions available in Northern Cape (preferably Douglas), KZN (preferably Durban), and Johannesburg. Flexibility for hybrid work and frequent travel to sites and offices.

Hours: Full-time, five days per week.

Job Requirements :
  • Relevant qualification (BTech / Electrical / PV Installer & Commissioning / PV Greencard) or justified equivalent experience.
  • At least 3+ years of PV industry-related experience or motivated industry background.
  • Skills in diagnosing issues and troubleshooting for optimal performance.
  • Hands-on experience working on-site with AC/DC Power Systems, IT systems, SCADA, or Industrial Automations.
  • Interest in working in an international environment, sharing ideas across borders and cultures.
  • Open, honest, trustworthy, and strong communication skills.

  • Experience working for or studying abroad is a plus.
