Job description

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Troubleshooting GEA equipment and equipment from other manufacturers.
  • Performing planned and unplanned services, maintenance, and repairs on equipment of all types and sizes according to GEA SOPs and maintenance manuals.
  • Installation and commissioning of equipment.
  • Assisting in service project activities.
  • Overhauling equipment.
  • Performing tasks according to a strict schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Carrying out site visits and monitoring site performance.
  • Gathering and classifying data using various measuring instruments applicable to the equipment.
  • Reading gauges and instruments; adjusting mechanisms such as valves, controls, and pumps to regulate fluid pressure and distribution.
  • Operating various equipment in compliance with legal guidelines.
  • Testing malfunctioning systems and components using electrical, mechanical, digital, and pneumatic controls.
  • Coordinating with other departments for budgeting, meeting deadlines, and technical support.
  • Preparing estimates for repairs, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
  • Maintaining records of repairs and maintenance for future service as per schedules, governance, legal, and customer requirements.
  • Coordinating work schedules with other departments and shops to minimize inconvenience.
  • Providing technical guidance to service personnel.
  • Adhering to all HSE policies of GEA and customers.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification as an Artisan in a technical field related to our organization.
  • The successful candidate will be an experienced artisan / FSE with at least 5 years of industry experience.
  • Ability to read and understand basic schematics and diagrams in their relevant field.
  • Knowledge of health and safety acts and legal requirements in the industry; completion of health & safety training courses is preferred.
