Job description

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Our client is a leader in the food packaging industry, located at Skinchem, 1 Bell Street, Meadowdale, Germiston.

Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in troubleshooting and repair activities for equipment.
  2. Mentor and train Apprentice Engineers in routine maintenance, fault finding, and installations.
  3. Attend to breakdowns during and after business hours.
  4. Conduct sales visits to new and existing clients when technical responsibilities are slow.
  5. Collect information and open an enquiry.
  6. Present offers to clients and review machine specifications.
  7. Follow up on opportunities from quotation to order.
  8. Compile detailed visit reports on Salesforce.
  9. Handle customer complaints and resolve conflicts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or an Allied Qualification in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics.
  • Formal Sales Training is advantageous.
Skills & Attributes:
  • Solid understanding of electronic engineering principles and concepts.
  • Interpersonal skills, technical marketing, and sales experience are advantages.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
