Job description

Position : Field Service CNC Technician

Location : East Rand, possible relocation to Durban in 6-12 months

Basic salary : R35 000 - R45 000 CTC plus company car

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Main responsibilities for this position are as follows :

• Perform field service repairs to CNC, LASER, and ROBOT equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing business through understanding new applications and technologies.
• Assist in bi-annual stock takes.
• Demonstrate strong fault-finding skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Communicate professionally and confidently with customers.
• Travel frequently, often on short notice; company car and fuel are provided.
• International travel may be required depending on service calls.

QUALIFICATIONS

National Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics (S4+1 year practical experience).

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields :

• Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Mechatronic Engineering

Qualified Electrician or Millwright.

At least N6 Electrical/Electronic Engineering certificate from a recognized technical college.
