Job summary

Headhunters is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive in Cape Town with 3–5 years' experience in composites or related sectors. You will identify new business, visit client sites, and drive end-to-end sales cycles from inquiry to order, coordinating with production and logistics to ensure successful delivery.

The role requires an own vehicle, strong communication, and the ability to read technical data sheets and understand manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sales experience in composites, plastics, chemicals or advanced manufacturing.
• Own vehicle and willingness to travel frequently to client sites.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for proposals and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication for technical audiences.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas in B2B cycles.
• Ability to read data sheets and understand composite processes (infusion, hand lay-up, filament winding, pultrusion).
• Highly organised and capable of balancing field travel with office administration.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across key composite sectors by calling and canvassing industrial areas.
• Conduct regular field visits to understand client manufacturing processes and material needs.
• Prepare quotes and technical enquiries based on customer requirements and specs.
• Manage end-to-end sales cycle, coordinating with production, supply chain, technical, and invoicing teams.
• Provide technical support and product guidance to clients by phone and email.
• Monitor industry trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
