Job summary

Herotel Telecoms (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Field Sales Agent in Viljoenskroon, Free State. You will proactively identify and convert prospective customers into subscribers, with a focus on building relationships in the local area and driving commission-based earnings.

You will own the full sales cycle, develop your personal sales strategy, and maintain a strong pipeline. The role requires field activity, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of outbound sales experience.
• Target-driven mindset and ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and local languages.
• Proficiency in MS Office; willingness to learn CRM systems.
• High personal integrity.
• Experience selling broadband fibre, LTE or wireless internet is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and sell to new and existing customers.
• Upsell and cross-sell where opportunities exist.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through activation.
• Develop and refine your personal sales strategy.
• Identify opportunities such as housing estates, complexes and business parks.
• Maintain a healthy, well-qualified pipeline of leads at every stage.
• Gather and report market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing and sentiment.
• Represent Herotel professionally and reflect company values in the area.
• Submit accurate, weekly activity reports on prospects, pipeline, and sales.
• Keep CRM records complete and current daily.
• Follow up with warm and unconverted leads within agreed timeframes.
• Ensure smooth handover to installation and after sales teams.

Are you a self-starter with a hunger to hunt down your own leads and close deals? Join our Commercial team as a Field Sales Agent in Free State: Viljoenskroon, where you'll proactively identify, approach and convert prospective customers into subscribers of our services.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on ownership and independence, loves being out in the field building relationships, and is motivated by commission earnings tied directly to their own performance.

What you'll do:

• Identify and sell to new and existing customers
• Upsell and cross sell where opportunities exist
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to activation
• Develop, own and continuously refine your own personal sales strategy
• Identify new opportunities such as housing estates, complexes and business parks, and build a targeted approach for each
• Maintain a consistently healthy, well qualified pipeline of leads at every stage of the funnel
• Gather and report market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing and customer sentiment
• Represent Herotel professionally and reflect our values in the assigned area
• Submit accurate, timely weekly activity reports covering prospects contacted, pipeline status, sales closed and planned activity
• Keep CRM records complete and current on a daily basis
• Follow up diligently with warm and unconverted leads within agreed timeframes
• Ensure a smooth, quality handover to installation and after sales teams

What you'll need:

• Grade 12
• A valid driver's license and reliable transport for field activity
• A proven track record in outbound sales (minimum one to two years)
• A target driven mindset and the ability to work independently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
• Excellent sales and consultation skills
• Fluency in English and applicable local languages
• Proficiency in MS Office and a willingness to learn CRM systems
• High personal integrity
• Experience selling broadband fibre, LTE or wireless internet products, and existing knowledge of the local coverage area, will count in your favour
