A leading company in the electrical services sector is seeking a Field Operations Lead to oversee maintenance and installation of electrical and water metering systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, as well as effective management of contractor schedules and customer interactions.
We are seeking a proven Field Operations Lead to join our Operations team and drive success across multiple functions within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting general maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems (single and three-phase), control and instrumentation (C&I) systems, as well as water metering equipment across the region.
Key Performance Areas:
Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
• Conduct maintenance on all electrical single and three phase, electrical C&I and water
metering equipment;
• Installations of all electrical single and three phase, electrical C&I and prepaid water metering
equipment;
• Provide signoff and COC certificate for all installations;
• Attend to all technical calls and queries;
• Oversee contractor meter installation to correct standard and quality;
• Adherence, compliance to and enforcing of Health and Safety;
• Manage contractor’s installations schedules and job cards;
• Manage meter registration on vending system;
• Conduct monthly meter readings for water and electricity;
• Compile customer invoice files for all services;
• Stock management and control (Submit monthly stocktake report);
• Perform monthly revenue protection analysis, audits and inspection;
• Compile and submit monthly audit and inspections report, highlight findings and corrective
actions implemented to manager;
• Attend site meetings and client visits;
• Compile technical reports;
• Record technical faults and customer complaints and resolve within set timelines;
• Management and maintenance of company assets and vehicle;
• Energy balance of all key accounts;
• Operate and perform work within company systems, policies and procedures;
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned from time to time;
• Will be required to work overtime when needed;
• Will be required to do standby from time to time.
Essential Requirements
• N6 with electrician trade test from a recognized institution;
• Min 3 Years’ experience after qualification;
• Valid Wireman’s License;
• Valid driver’s license;
• Technical and General Problem-solving capability; with a positive, service-oriented attitude;
Advantageous
• Intermediate in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
• Must be able to work independent and within a team;
• Contactor management, project management;
• Performance focus;
• Able to read drawings;
• Ability to work under pressure (Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment).
