A company representing a portfolio of ecofriendly brands distributed throughout the South African market is looking for a dynamic and self-driven Field Marketer. This role is based in Mt Edgecombe Durban and will require regular travel to the Eastern Cape.
The primary focus of this role is to manage client relationships, ensure consistent stock availability, build strong partnerships, and maintain visually appealing product displays.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Further education in sales or marketing is advantageous
- Previous experience in a sales role preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Proven ability to manage a client base of 20 or more accounts
- Capable of consistently meeting monthly sales and performance targets
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
- Willing and comfortable to travel independently including frequent trips to the Eastern Cape
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- A self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Service:
- Plan monthly call cycles in order to regularly visit pharmacies, health stores, and boutiques to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Understand clients' needs and preferences offering tailored product recommendations.
- Achieve sales targets on a monthly basis to ensure revenue objectives for the assigned customer base are achieved.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns and inquiries promptly.
- Monitor client satisfaction and consistently aim to exceed expectations.
- Contribute appropriately to the new business development revenue target for the wholesale sales team.
Stock Management:
- Conduct stock checks on every visit ensuring sufficient product levels to meet client demands.
- Place replenishment orders (with client signoff) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Liaise with the warehouse or distribution team to ensure timely stock delivery.
- Implement effective stock rotation and minimize product expiration risks.
Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients focusing on long-term partnerships.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the assigned territory.
- Communicate new product releases, promotions, and marketing campaigns to clients.
- Conduct product training in client stores for staff.
Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure products are displayed in an attractive and organized manner in compliance with company standards.
- Implement planograms and guidelines provided by the team.
- Train clients' staff on proper product merchandising techniques.
