Placements24 is seeking a proactive Field Maintenance Specialist to service clients in and around Nelspruit. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure systems operate reliably at customer sites.

This role requires regular travel within the Mbombela area, strong on-site service skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. A hands-on mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic background is ideal, with the ability to read manuals and operate diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Experience as Field Maintenance Technician or similar.
• Strong technical aptitude in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Nelspruit area.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair field faults.
• Execute component replacements and system adjustments.
• Test and verify repairs meet performance standards.

About the Role

This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of specialized equipment at client sites. You will be responsible for conducting regular maintenance, diagnosing and rectifying faults, and ensuring that all deployed systems function optimally. This position requires frequent travel to customer locations and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional on-site technical support and service quality.

Key Responsibilities
