Job Opportunity: Field Joint Coating Technician

A global leader in engineering services for complex infrastructures and plants in the energy sector, both offshore and onshore, with five business lines and presence in around 60 countries. We are seeking a Field Joint Coating Technician with IMPP, IMPU, Heat and Coat processes and equipment experience for various offshore vessel projects worldwide.

Job Summary:

Ensure the operational status of pipeline main line equipment during project execution, including preparation, installation, and startup phases. Offshore, the Welding Equipment Technician will operate under the supervision of the Welding Foreman and the chief engineer/electrician, serving as the technical reference for all pipeline production equipment. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute activities within your responsibility on all pipeline technology equipment, ensuring QA/QC and HSE compliance.
  2. Perform electrical and mechanical work according to safety and quality standards.
  3. Make electrical connections for equipment, circuit breakers, transformers, cabinets, and other electrical apparatus.
  4. Read technical drawings and schematics (line diagrams, electrical schemes, hydraulic diagrams) to ensure correct installation and connection.
  5. Verify that equipment and materials are in good, safe operating condition; report anomalies and ensure proper storage of spare parts.
  6. Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using appropriate testing devices to ensure system integrity and safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Offshore experience required.
  • Experience with IMPP, IMPU, Heat and Coat processes and equipment.
  • Ability to monitor coating equipment status during all project phases.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures for coating equipment.
  • Understanding of electrical hazards, PPE, and Lockout-Tagout procedures.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Fluent in English.
