Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test a variety of security systems, including CCTV cameras, video recorders, access control panels, and intrusion detection alarms.
• Run and terminate low-voltage cabling for security systems, ensuring neat and professional installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation‑related issues, ensuring all systems are fully operational upon completion.
• Read and interpret site plans, system blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Provide basic training to clients on the operation of installed security systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite and company vehicle.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company installation standards.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing and servicing electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms).
• Strong understanding of low‑voltage wiring, cable termination, and signal transmission principles.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized equipment for security system installation.
• Ability to read and interpret system diagrams and blueprints.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills related to electronic security systems.
• Valid South African driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
