Hospitality and Outdoor in Mpumalanga luxury safari lodge seeks an experienced Field Guide / Ranger to lead guests on game drives and guided bush walks, delivering safe, educational, and unforgettable safari experiences. The role demands a confident, independent operator who upholds the lodge’s high standards of hospitality and conservation.

The ideal candidate has FGASA Level 1 (or higher), a valid PrDP, current First Aid certification, and at least three years of guiding experience in a luxury

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Guide or Ranger.
• Proven experience working in a luxury safari Lodge environment.
• FGASA qualification (Level 1 minimum, higher advantageous)
• Valid driver’s licence with PrDP and current First Aid certification
• Strong knowledge of wildlife behaviour and Conservation principles
• Excellent guest interaction and Hospitality service skills
• Ability to conduct engaging game drives and guided bush walks
• Strong communication and storytelling skills
• High level of safety awareness and responsibility
• Professional, well-presented, and reliable individual
• Ability to work independently within a remote Lodge setting

Responsibilities

• Lead guests on game drives and guided bush walks, ensuring safe, educational, and memorable experiences.
• Deliver engaging, informative wildlife interpretation and guest engagement.
• Maintain high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and lodge safety.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Guide to join a prestigious luxury Lodge as a Field Guide / Ranger within the premium Hospitality and safari sector. This role is suited to a passionate and skilled professional with a strong background in guiding and guest engagement in a high-end safari environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional bush experiences, including game drives and guided walks, ensuring guests enjoy a safe, educational, and unforgettable safari journey. Working in a renowned wildlife destination, the Guide will play a key role in upholding the lodge’s reputation for world-class Hospitality and conservation-focused experiences.

This is not an internship role and requires a confident, experienced Manager within guiding who can operate independently while contributing to a collaborative lodge team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a remote environment, demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, and a strong passion for conservation and wildlife.
