Job summary

Hospitality and Outdoor, a premier game lodge operator in Sabi Sand, South Africa, seeks an experienced Trails Guide to host guests, lead game drives and interpret the environment while contributing to conservation initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a lodge setting, relevant qualifications, DEAT registration, and all required certifications, including advanced rifle handling and PDP. Strong guest service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ lodge experience.
• NQF4 Trails Guide qualification or CATHSSETA equivalent.
• DEAT registration.
• First Aid certificate.
• Advanced Rifle Handling Certificate and SAPS competency.
• Driver’s licence with PDP.
• Basic firefighting and 4×4 driving skills.
• Strong knowledge of wildlife, conservation, tracking, birding, botany, astronomy, and photography.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy and reporting skills.
• Ability to host guests and deliver exceptional safari experiences.
• Strong teamwork and service excellence.
• Ability to work long hours under demanding conditions.
• Professional appearance and SA citizenship or work visa.
