You will combine your deep knowledge of wildlife with excellent hospitality skills to deliver exceptional game drives, manage guest logistics, and ensure an unforgettable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safari Operations: Conduct two daily game drives, providing guests with informative, engaging, and safe wildlife viewing experiences.
  • Guest Relations & Front of House (FOH): Handle guest check-ins and check-outs warmly and professionally. Host guests during meals and social times, particularly when the main FOH team is on off-days (typically 6–7 days per cycle).
  • Logistics & Porterage: Assist with guest arrivals and departures by porting luggage directly to and from their respective rooms.
  • Lodge Support: Lend a practical hand with general lodge maintenance and minor repairs whenever required to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Certification: NQF2
  • Registration: Must be currently registered with DEAT (Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism).
  • First Aid: Current and valid First Aid Level 1 certificate (at minimum).
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license accompanied by a valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).
  • Driving Experience: Proven 4x4 driving experience is essential, as the reserve's road system is challenging and tricky to navigate.
  • Attributes: Passionate about wildlife, hospitality, and the bushveld lifestyle. Strong communication skills and a guest-first attitude are required.
What We Offer
  • Accommodation: Your own private flatlet consisting of a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and an open-plan lounge and kitchenette.
  • Meals: All meals are provided while you are on duty.

  • Amenities: Access to a shared laundry facility equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
  • Uniform: Full uniform is supplied by the lodge.
