African Echoes Recruitment in Bela Bela, Limpopo, is seeking an experienced Field Guide to lead professional Big 5 safaris, delivering accurate interpretation and ensuring guest safety. The successful candidate holds FGASA, RSA ID, relevant guiding registrations, and has a proven track record with luxury lodges.

You will join a dedicated team, maintain high safety standards, provide outstanding service, and assist with lodge operations as needed; a valid driver's license is essential and live-in

Qualifications

• Professional field guide with Big 5 safari experience and luxury lodge background.
• FGASA qualification and valid guiding registrations required.
• RSA ID and legal residence are essential.
• Strong knowledge of wildlife, ecology, conservation and bush environment.
• Excellent guest relations and communication skills.
• Professional appearance; safety-conscious; passion for wildlife and conservation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Driver's Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct professional Big 5 guided safari activities.
• Provide engaging and accurate interpretation of wildlife and the environment.
• Ensure guest safety and comfort at all times.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and memorable safari experiences.
• Maintain professional guiding and safety standards; assist with guiding equipment and vehicle upkeep.
• Build strong relationships with guests.
• Assist with general lodge operations when required.
• Work closely with management and the guiding team.

• Qualified Field Guide with relevant FGASA qualification
• Valid guiding registrations and certifications as required
• Previous Big 5 and luxury lodge guiding experience essential
• Strong knowledge of wildlife, ecology, conservation, and the bush
• Excellent communication and guest relations skills
• Professional, well presented, and safety conscious
• Passion for wildlife, conservation, and guiding
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Driver's Licence essential
