Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Field Electrical Engineer to support operations in and around Paarl. The role involves on-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems at diverse project sites.

You will ensure safe operation, work with site teams and project managers, and travel extensively to sites. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of field engineering experience are required, with proficiency in electrical schematics and control panels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field engineering or site engineering role.
• Strong practical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and control panels.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission electrical systems and equipment on-site.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot electrical equipment failures.
• Develop and execute maintenance schedules to ensure reliability.
• Provide technical support to site personnel and contractors.
