Our client is seeking a dedicated Fiduciary Assistant to join their prestigious company.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric qualification.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in administration, preferably in legal or fiduciary fields.
  • FISA certification as Trust Administrator or Senior Trust.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to learn new systems confidently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Afrikaans (preferred).

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing general administration and practice management.
  • Proactively managing files, following up with clients on wills, trust documents, and estate planning issues.
  • Diary management: setting up meetings, preparing documentation.
  • Billing and debt collection in line with fiduciary services model.
  • Ensuring compliance with fiduciary, FICA, FAIS, and other relevant regulations.
  • Maintaining hard files and digital documentation accurately and securely.
  • Preparing trust documents and liaising with accountants for financial statements and tax returns.
  • Engaging with the Master’s office and ensuring timely document processing.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to process improvements.
  • Staying updated on legal and industry developments related to estate planning.
  • Supporting business development and cross-sales opportunities.
