Job summary

Moladira Skills is seeking a Business Development & Market Research professional to identify areas with potential demand for fibre services. You will conduct area-to-area research, assess residential, commercial, and industrial developments, and engage with communities and stakeholders to gauge interest in fibre connectivity.

You will monitor competitor activity, evaluate suitable areas for infrastructure investment, and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations for management.

Qualifications

• Matric, Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively for area assessments.
• Experience in telecommunications, fibre, broadband, or infrastructure development is advantageous.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in business development, market research, telecommunications, or related industries.
• Experience conducting market feasibility studies and area assessments.
• Proven experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

Responsibilities

• Conduct area-to-area research to identify locations with potential demand for fibre services.
• Assess residential, commercial, and industrial developments for fibre deployment opportunities.
• Conduct surveys and engage with communities, businesses, property developers, and local stakeholders to assess interest in fibre connectivity.
• Monitor competitor activity and identify gaps in the market.
• Evaluate whether specific areas are suitable for fibre infrastructure investment.
• Analyze population density, business activity, existing telecommunications infrastructure, and potential subscriber uptake.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations for management review.
• Identify and pursue new fibre network expansion opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with property developers, estate managers, businesses, and community leaders.
• Support negotiations and partnership discussions that facilitate network growth.
