Job summary

The successful candidate will troubleshoot faults, document work, and coordinate with teams and customers, with travel across Gauteng and a requirement for a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Previous fibre-optic installation experience.
• Understanding of fibre testing, fault-finding and repair.
• Knowledge of fibre-optic cables, connectors and installation methods.
• Ability to troubleshoot faults and resolve service issues.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use digital job cards/portals.
• Ability to complete accurate job records and upload evidence.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle; willing to travel across Gauteng.
• Must be medically fit for site-based work.

Responsibilities

• Install fibre-optic cables and equipment per technical specifications.
• Perform installations, testing and service activation.
• Maintain fibre infrastructure and diagnose faults.
• Repair work to restore services quickly.
• Ensure work meets company standards and client requirements.
• Record work, materials used and results; upload photographs.
• Communicate progress and updates to customers and supervisors.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies.
