Placements24 is seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Deployment Manager to oversee end-to-end fiber deployments in and around Pretoria, Gauteng. This role blends on-site supervision with strategic planning, adopting a hybrid work model to balance project delivery with flexibility.

You will lead engineers, technicians, and contractors, ensure safety and quality, manage planning, budgets, and stakeholder communications, and drive projects from design through handover to expand high-speed services in

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management for fiber optic deployments.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic technologies, splicing, testing and installation.
• Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Experience with GIS and CAD tools for network design and documentation.
• Knowledge of local permitting and utility coordination.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Aufgaben

• Manage all phases of fiber optic deployment projects from planning to commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and budgets, tracking milestones.
• Lead internal teams, subcontractors and vendors to deliver on time.
• Ensure safety regs, building codes and industry standards are met.
• Coordinate with authorities, utilities and property owners for access.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
• Monitor risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks against specs.
• Maintain project documentation and handover reports.
• Communicate status, issues and resolutions to stakeholders and execs.
