Job Summary :

Assembles bags filled with loose fiber to produce backs and seats for upholstered furniture.

Operates a machine designed to blow fiber into sewn bags.

Job Description :

• Obtains work order to determine appropriate bag size and quantity
• Fills bag with the proper weight of fiber per the specifications for the style
• Slides the bag on the table to the sealer station
• Operates the sealer as needed
• Loads bags onto carts for transportation to the upholstery assembly area
• Moves carts to proper storage location
• Fills the machine hopper with fiber
• Follows health and safety standards
• Maintains a clean workstation and production floor
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements :

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide
• Capacity to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance
• Teamwork skills

Weekly Hours : 40

Work Shift :
