Job description

Constantia Kunsmis, part of the TWK Group, has the following vacancy available: Fertilizer Sales Agent within the Western Cape.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Developing a deep understanding of various fertilizer products, their compositions, benefits, and application methods
  • Utilising fertilizer expertise to recommend suitable products and application strategies that align with the customer’s agricultural goals
  • Coordinating fertilizer orders, ensuring accurate quantities and delivery schedules are met
  • Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, addressing customer inquiries and concerns
  • Maintaining positive business relationships to future sales
  • Developing cost estimates and proposals for fertilizer programs tailored to customers' crop needs and budgets
  • Basic fertilizer programs (Wheat, Canola, Barley, Oats, Lupins, Luzern and Cover crops)
  • Taking of soil and leaf samples
  • Crop monitoring during the growing season
Qualifications & Skills

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification (sales, management, agriculture)
  • 5 years’ experience in the fertilizer industry
  • BASOS certificate (advantageous)
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Team player
  • Good self-discipline
  • Target and goal driven
  • Computer literate
  • Own transport
