Job description

Minimum requirements for the role :

• Previous experience working within a production environment is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in fermentation or microbial production is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with bioreactors, pumps, control systems, and basic laboratory equipment is preferred but not essential.
• Basic understanding of microbiology or a willingness to learn is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and handling materials is required.
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in a sterile environment following strict hygiene protocols.
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

• Playing a critical role in the fermentation process, ensuring efficient production of microbial products.
• Operating and monitoring equipment to cultivate microbial products, ensuring optimal growth conditions and adherence to production protocols.
• Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the factory, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
• Tracking and managing raw material stock, ensuring adequate supply levels and accurate record-keeping.
• Communicating with production supervisors to ensure protocols are followed in each department.
• Compiling weekly reports on production, operations, and maintenance updates.
• Applying or developing knowledge of basic microbiology principles to support production processes and ensure product quality.
• Preparing fermentation equipment, media, and raw materials according to established SOPs and batch production records.
• Troubleshooting fermentation systems, identifying issues such as contamination or deviations in process parameters, and escalating as needed.
