As a Feature Analyst – Backend at CA Head in South Africa, you will take full ownership of configuring, testing, and optimizing backend features within enterprise Murex environments for leading banking and financial services clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass analyzing functional requirements, translating business specifications into Murex backend parameterizations, managing database interactions, and supporting trade processing workflows. You will collaborate closely with frontend feature analysts, integration engineers, and QA teams to troubleshoot complex system defects, perform rigorous integration testing, and ensure seamless end-to-end transaction processing. Working in a fast-paced financial technology consulting environment, you will drive high-performance risk management systems and trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, functional design, and configuration of backend modules within Murex trading and risk platforms.
• Translate complex banking and capital markets requirements into precise Murex backend setup and parameterization.
• Configure trade lifecycle management workflows, valuation scripts, pricing formulas, and risk engine batch processes.
• Collaborate closely with frontend analysts and integration teams to ensure seamless end-to-end transaction flow.
• Conduct rigorous functional testing, unit verification, and system integration testing (SIT) for Murex backend updates.
• Troubleshoot complex backend errors, database performance bottlenecks, and trade processing failures.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• Solid professional experience as a Feature Analyst, Business Analyst, or Murex Consultant within banking or financial services.
• Mandatory hands-on Murex product experience, specifically focused on backend modules, risk engines, or trade processing.
• Strong analytical, functional understanding, and problem-solving capabilities in capital markets workflows.
