Job description

Our client in the Agricultural Industry is seeking a well driven and well experienced Farm Production Manager with extensive experience in Tree Crops, preferably Macadamia Nuts, to join their team in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.

The ideal candidate should have experience in the following :

• Financial- Staying within HC Quota allowed, Staying within budgeted cost allocations.
• Labor management - High productivity, motivate teams, action disciplines, leave management, Timesheet approvals, Onboarding and exit procedures on device for staff as per procedures, Internal training & development to upskill staff ongoing.
• Water Management - Irrigation standards met, and water managed optimally.
• Pruning - Adhere to group strategy with regards to pruning standards.
• Mechanical fleet, Tools and equipment-checked and maintenance done / Fault finding.
• Electrical & Welding - General knowledge and experience.
• Farm Programs and Actions - On farming overall operations.

Requirements :

• 5-10 years experience in farming production within the Tree Crops industry (Macadamias Nuts experience will be an added advantage).
• 3-5 years of managerial experience in farming production within the Tree Crops Industry (Macadamias Nuts experience will be an added advantage).
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Drivers License with own reliable transport.
• Grade 12
• Tertiary Education in Agriculture will be an added advantage.
