This hands-on leadership role focuses on maximizing efficiency, safety, and profitability in crop production and machinery operations.

You will lead a diverse team of farm workers, supervisors, and technicians, optimize resource allocation, and manage budgets while upholding best practices and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in farm management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing large-scale crop production operations.
• Strong knowledge of modern farming techniques, crop science, and machinery operation.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in farm management software and financial planning.
• Ability to analyze operational data and make informed decisions.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Familiarity with the Rustenburg, North West region is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of farm operations, including planting, cultivation, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of farm personnel, ensuring efficient labor utilization.
• Develop and implement operational budgets, monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on the farm.
• Manage inventory of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other essential supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all agricultural regulations and standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in farm operations.
