FARM MANAGER – FM1518 - LICHTENBURG
Lichtenburg – North West: Our client is looking for a Farm Manager to join the team. Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. BSc Agriculture with preference to (Honour’s or master’s in agriculture)
2. Minimum 5 to 8 years of practical commercial potato farming management experience.
3. Excellent knowledge and experience of crop production, farm management and agriculture sustainability challenges, with emphasis on potato and grain production as well as knowledge of agriculture equipment and emerging agriculture technologies.
4. Track record of leading and executing innovative projects as a self-starter delivering measurable technical, operational and economic results.
5. Proven capacity to adapt, keep focus and thrive in a dynamic environment.
6. Possession of a valid driver’s license.
7. Knowledge of implementing new agricultural technology and biodiversity.
8. Knowledge of machinery, robotics, artificial intelligence is an asset.
9. Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
10. Strong interpersonal, problem solving and relationship building skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Establish profitable crop production on FotF Africa to secure financial sustainability.
2. Execution of farm operations.
3. Capex plan: Have farm machinery, yard/building and irrigation REA implementation.
4. Drive safety culture on site.
5. Manage dissemination of agronomy technical information to emerging farmers, visitors and colleagues.
6. Manage farm machinery maintenance and utilization.
7. Manage annual farm budget and financial management.
8. Efficient leadership & staff management.
9. Agronomy/Research: Have soil health/environmental baselines established.
10. Manage research programs.
