TopFruit, situated in Simondium, has a position available for a motivated Farm Manager. The main focus of the role is to manage their foundation nursery and test blocks, as well as ensuring optimal productivity, efficiency and a well-maintained condition of the facilities.

The ideal candidate is a people-oriented leader who values collaboration and has the ability to inspire teams. The incumbent should be open to innovation, embrace technology, and is a practical person in terms of farm machinery, equipment and maintenance.

Duties and responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to): *Managing the TopFruit test blocks *Manage the TopFruit foundation nursery for pome and stone fruit *Overseeing all other farming activities such as pest control, irrigation and fertilisation *Manage all nursery and farm staff *Responsible for all maintenance on the farm in terms of machinery, vehicles, equipment and buildings with the use of suitable service providers *Developing a maintenance schedule *Accurate record keeping and budgeting *Serving on Health and Safety Committee *Any additional tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• A relevant tertiary qualification;

• 5-7 years' relevant and practical experience in table grape, stone fruit or pome/stone nursery production;

• Proficiency in administration and the use of a computer;

• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English;

• Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
