FARM MANAGER

Location: Cato Ridge, KwaZulu-Natal

Reports To: Directors

A privately owned 20-hectare farming operation in the Cato Ridge region is looking for an experienced Farm Manager to lead its full-scale agricultural development. The farm will focus on blueberries (tunnel production), open-field tomatoes, and honey/pollination operations, integrating modern infrastructure such as fertigation systems, packhouse facilities, and small-scale processing.

Key Focus Areas:

• Blueberry & tomato production (tunnel & open field)
• Honey integration & pollination services
• Packhouse, cold storage & value-added processing
• Irrigation, fertigation, and water management
• Labour & productivity management
• Farm budgeting, record-keeping & compliance

What We’re Looking For:

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture/Horticulture
• 10+ years in farm management (high-value crops preferred)
• Strong understanding of tunnel farming, fertigation, and cold chain
• Leadership, planning & tech-savviness (Excel, basic farm software)

This is a hands-on, leadership role suited to someone ready to build and scale a commercially focused operation from the ground up.
